BioMate MBC781 (MemKare NX 10) is an EPA registered, non-oxidizing biocide used to sanitize reverse osmosis (RO) and ultra-filtration (UF) systems and membranes. BioMate MBC781 is fed continuously to the feed water of these systems. Utilizing BioMate MBC781(MemKare NX 10) with other P&WC cleaning formulations will result in more effective membrane cleaning and decreased cleaning frequencies. The dose rate of the BioMate MBC781 (MemKare NX 10) application should be determined by a study of the normalised sys-tem performance, taking into consideration the level of biological activity in the feed , permeate and reject streams. This evaluation can be carried out by P&WC personnel to determine the appropriate dose level, ap-plication frequency and injection points.
